1. About the service
Beitbridge Connect helps you record health information such as blood pressure, medication and vitals, share it with people you choose, and receive reminders. By creating an account you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Not medical advice
Beitbridge Connect is not a medical device and does not give medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Charts, scores, predictions (including period and pregnancy estimates), alerts and check-in results are for information only and can be wrong. Always ask a qualified health worker about your health. Never delay or skip care because of something in the app.
In an emergency go to the nearest clinic or hospital or call your local emergency number. The SOS button and alerts are extra help only. We cannot guarantee that they are delivered or seen in time.
3. Your account
- You must give accurate details and be old enough to agree to these Terms where you live, or have a parent or guardian do so.
- Keep your password and any two-factor codes private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Verify your email address. Use a strong, unique password and turn on two-factor authentication.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account.
4. Sharing your information
You decide who sees your records. Guardians and clinicians only see what you have approved, and you can remove them at any time under More → Care team & family. If you are a guardian or clinician, you agree to use what you see only to support the person's care, to keep it confidential, and not to share it further without their permission.
5. Clinician accounts
Anyone can register as a clinician, but only accounts we have checked are shown as verified. Do not claim to be a health professional if you are not. Patients are responsible for deciding whether to approve a clinician.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not try to access other people's accounts or data, or to disrupt or probe the service.
- Do not enter someone else's health information without their permission (except for a child or dependant you care for).
- Do not use the service for anything unlawful, or to harass or deceive others.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules or put others at risk.
7. Your information stays yours
You own the information you enter. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data at any time under More → Privacy & data.
8. Reminders and messages
Reminders and alerts may be sent by email, notification or, if you opt in, WhatsApp. They depend on third-party networks and your device settings and may be late or missed. Do not rely on them alone for time-critical medication or care.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service running but do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or stop features. We may update these Terms; when the changes are important we will ask you to accept them again before you continue.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and we are not liable for loss or harm resulting from your use of it, from reliance on its information, or from events outside our control. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
11. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time, which permanently deletes your data. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, and disputes will be handled by its courts, unless the law where you live gives you other rights.
